History

Symphony Fabrics began as a domestic textile converter in 1939. Under the direction of Seymour Schneiderman, Symphony became the number one resource for top designers and major apparel manufacturers in the United States and abroad. Seymour began his career at Symphony as a delivery boy and through hard work and dedication, Seymour became the owner of Symphony Fabrics in 1966. Seymour’s unwavering commitment to innovation, quality and customer service made Symphony Fabrics a leading textile converter. Symphony grew its domestic business and also became a leader in the global fabric market. Although Seymour passed away in 2010, Symphony Fabrics continues to be committed to the core values by which he lived and worked. We take pride in continuing Seymour's legacy by providing innovative designs, high quality fabrics, and making customer satisfaction a top priority.

Wholesale

Symphony’s wholesale division has been crucial to our success in the textile industry with the development of fabrics for cocktail, evening wear, bridal, and brides-maid markets. By combining Symphony Fabrics’ traditional core values with modern design, innovation and quality, Symphony also develops fabrics for sportswear, daywear, activewear, swimwear, intimate apparel, children’s wear, and other uses. We present our fabric collection each season, reflecting trends built by color stories for solids, jacquards, novelties, embroideries, sequins and new evolving prints. Due to our growth on both domestic and international markets, Symphony now has sales representation throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Australia, Turkey, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Over The Counter 

Symphony's OTC division provides customers the opportunity to buy fabrics that are in stock. We offer fabrics for a wide variety of trades including event planning, uniforms, religious apparel, start-up designers, sewers, individual fabric buyers, home décor, and many other applications. Symphony's OTC division focuses on providing its customers high quality fabric and customer service. Our cutting-edge website allows customers to easily view and purchase fabrics that are produced both domestically and overseas.
